Letter and Information sent to City Council in opposition to Ord 2010-00703
On August 24, 2010, at the request of the Office of the General Counsel, City Council President Richard Clark introduced proposed Ordinance 2010-00703. This proposed ordinance was created in direct response to the lawsuit filed on behalf of homeowners whose properties were wrongly tagged with the “hazardous substances” language. Helen Albee sent the below letter and its accompanying exhibits to all the City Council members to provide the background on why this Ordinance should not be passed and how the Property Appraiser’s actions has already damaged property owners and the City’s revenues.
